About

Mentoring Children With Disabilities and empowering parents to Thrive and Succeed

A Smile of Child Parent Society (ASCPaS) is a non-profit organization registered as a civil society whose inception started after a visit to a Deaf school. The discord children with disabilities faced challenges expressing themselves. They were misunderstood by both their teachers and parents. Upon interacting with children of other disabilities, we realized it was a common problem. This was an issue that went all the way to adulthood resulting in a defensive person with low self-esteem. The founder saw it wise to bridge the gap starting from a young age for a self-reliant adult. “Not all persons with disabilities must struggle to make it, the chain can be broken at childhood” Jared O. Ouko. This vision is propelled by forces of young persons with disabilities, parents, professionals in the disability world and those with lived experiences of being raised by parents with disabilities.
